It was just another average day at Dream Island's junkyard. The sun shined brightly, reflecting off the metallic objects in the mountains of garbage, creating a dazzling light show. Birds circled above, occasionally dropping down to grab a scrap they had spotted. Machinery and wizards were hard at work on a distant area, hoping to convert it into something usable once more.
A lone figure strolled through one of the few clear valleys among the sea of trash. The blonde girl had her hair in a ponytail, and was wearing a pair of work boots, overalls with padded knees, a brown shirt that had long sleeves, some heavy gloves, and a hardhat with a light on top of it. A set of visualizers in the form of sunglasses covered her eyes, allowing her to observe the viruses around the junkyar. If one were to guess without knowing, she was going to be searching the mountains for some misplaced valuable. When in reality her mission here was something completely different.
From the Hunter-VG on her voice, a robotic voice with feminine undertones chirped. "Remind me as to why you're wearing that? We're for training, not your job."
"The last time we were here, you forced me to while I was half asleep. We got knocked out of the conversion and I fell a distance due to being in mid-flight." Kihel glanced down at her right knee, wincing at old memories. "During the tumble down the mountain of garbage, I sliced my knee open on some rusted metal. I was in the hospital for a week! I may be awake now, but I'm not making the same mistake." As if on queue, a piece of rebar came into view, a bit of crimson on the end, indicating someone had met a similar fate as her.
"Alright. Do you remember why we're here?"
"To train in a hazardous environment in order to replicate the mountain the best we can. Since the trash is nearly as unstable in some spots, it works in our favor." Kihel was rolling her eyes at this point. This was the fourth time Secrecy had asked this, and at this point she wished they could have a normal conversation like anyone else.
"Good. Now activate the conversion and get near the top of one of the hills so we can start."
Kihel sighed, bracing herself for a about a half hour of panic and near death experiences, followed by a day of being sore. She pulled the Hunter-VG off of her waist, holding it to her chest with both hands. Taking a deep breath, she prepared to call out the phrase to initiate the conversion. 'Let's just get this over with so I can go home, relax, and cozy up with a nice history book.'

Hundreds of feet above Kihel preparing for her moment, a bumbling idiot plummeted through the air, coincidentally headed straight toward her as he rapidly gained velocity.

A moment ago, Serpens Crash had been happily hightailing his way down the Sky Wave after a delivery well done. Luke's little journey was over and he had been making his way back home when a mental reminder made previously nagged at him to check out the curious island he'd spotted going the opposite direction. On a cloudless day and from far above, Dream Island was a patch of vibrant greens and yellows marred by a brown disfigurement ruining its beauty. According to his cursory research, it was a man-made island though the reasons for its construction were unclear. Its intended use seemed muddled as well, being partly beautiful with a well-maintained park while its ugly side was just that: A gross accumulation of metal and plastic waste, junk piling high until it became the far more prominent feature of the place.
On an overcast day where Luke found himself constantly in and out of cloud cover but mostly safe so long as he took note of and kept on his path, his wandering thoughts and eagerness to catch a glimpse again of Dream Island placed his footsteps dangerously and unknowingly close to the side of the Wave Road until suddenly- whoops! A short bout of panic occurred as each component of Serpens gathered their bearings. Alfie was the first to react, futilely attempting to grip the road rising away from them before retreating into Luke, who himself was holding onto his hat while considering how he'd get out of this one. Eto, most helpfully, pointed their tail at the island they were falling towards; she'd spotted their detour first and was proud of it.
Beeps of confirmation, quickly lost to the wind, acknowledged Luke's loading Battle Cards as he flipped himself over and splayed his limbs to decelerate his fall as much as he could. Eto acted as additional drag and with her added effort they were able to stabilize if not slow their descent. Through all this, a bright spot among all the rust and tarnish caught his eye and due to its movement Luke determined it was a person, likely about to witness his crash landing. He futilely tried to shout at them but the air rushing past tore his voice from his throat without even accounting for the distance between them.
Time seemed to both speed-up and begin to crawl as Alfie relayed what Luke probably wouldn't have managed to hear: Another beep indicated that his cards were ready to go.
Secrecy's warning broke her concentration. Another ocnversion, heading towards her? Her knees started to shake a little, hands gripping the Hunter a little tighter. "W-what? When di-?" Who would be coming at her now? What did they want?
"Change now!"
"Bu-"
"CHANGE! NOW!"
"OK OK STOP YELLING AT ME! WAVE CONVERSION, ACTIVATE!"
Secrecy emerged from the Hunter, growing in size as her wings covered Kihel, before vanishing in a burst of feathers. Where Kihel once stood was the conversion Rain, who was wrapped in her wings, only her head visible to the casual observer. At least, she was. With the conversion complete, Secrecy took control of the wings, forcibly moving her out of the way.
Immediately activating the flight function, the wings flapped once, bringing the conversion off balance before the jets within activated, rocketing her in a corkscrew motion to the top of a nearby pile. Landing without much grace, aka on her ass and sending trash everywhere, Kihel looked up before finally spotting the incoming man, tracking his downward plummet.
Unsure of the intentions of this downward projectile, and knowing that being in the conversion meant other problems, Secrecy loaded in their custom, wanting to be ready for anything.
Rain's evacuated scrap pile came under fire a second later as Luke unloaded a shot of compressed magma into it, turning its center into a bubbling molten core. The recoil from his Fire Bazooka spun him out of control of his fall but with quick-thinking and Area Eater, Luke wiped out the space behind himself and warped backwards, allowing his other hand to line up his second gun. Chain Bubble's frothing blast connected with the boiling heap and turned it into an explosion of steam but any and all shrapnel was encapsulated in foam, the largest pieces of which were comically suspended in massive bubbles.
Serpens Crash crashed a moment later into the hastily prepared landing zone, among the billowing smoke, roiling steam, foaming bubbles, and melted junk. The weakened mound of scrap compressed and collapsed in on itself, absorbing much of the impact of his fall. The garbage held in place by bubbles fell harmlessly to the ground as they were popped, landing all around Luke's point of impact where they rolled and settled. Obscured by the cloud of dust and debris he'd kicked up on arrival, Luke emerged unsteadily, pulling from his arms and a leg trash that had deformed around him.
Taking a few steps unintentionally toward Kihel, Luke retrieved his damaged hat and futilely dusted it off, obstinately placing it on his head anyway. Eto's tail and his swished lazily back and forth, undeterred by their rough landing. Alfie instead had the presence of mind to look around and noticed Rain gazing down on them a short distance away. His retreat drew Luke's attention, who finally realized they were being watched. Out of habit, he raised a hand in greeting and only then noticed the short length of rebar sticking out of his arm.
"Hey! Ooh, oops. Ow," he muttered, yanking at the metal and tossing it away. "Sorry for the surprise! I don't often trip over myself this badly, haha. You alright, up there?"
Kihel watched the explosive chain of events that followed. To have loaded and reacted so quickly, the wizard and human duo must've been perfectly in sync. 'I'll have to ask how they do it.' As the faller, if that was even a term, was getting themselves together, she was about to clap in approval when she noticed something out of place.
The rebar sticking out of his arm.
Not one for that kind of thing, she quickly turned her head, averting her gaze. The sound of gagging could temporarily be heard, hands covering her mouth, wings drawn back to be safe. 'Oh god get it together. If I vomit now, where's it going to go? I don't think this opens...' Hearing Luke calling out to her, she slowly turned her head, the rebar now gone. A very audible deep breath was heard, trying to keep her lunch down.
"I'm ok!" She called down, followed by a short belch. Putting a closed fist to her mouth, and feeling the burn in her chest, she knew that was now wrong."Actually scratch that, I'm a little nauseous from the whole, rebar in arm thing you had going on there." Rain pointed up at the sky where Luke had come from. "I'm more concerned about you though! It seems like you fell quite a distance to begin with! Sure you didn't break anything?"
A lone Wave Warrior would have been enough to call the attention of the viruses that wander the junkyard; two would have put those creatures on edge even if they had been quiet. But as it were, one of those Warriors had basically crash landed into the scene and then disturbed the scrap with his shots for good measure. With that kind of impactful entrance, there was no way the duo would be able to avoid getting attacked by the garbage dwellers of the area.
About three meters to Luke's right, soon after Kihel had adressed him, some of the scrap began to move, and within seconds a tiny hand made of sand emerged, quickly followed by a second one. But in the next moment, the hands became covered in brass-colored armor, and grasped onto the trash around them to allow their owner to rise up to plain view. The black overcoat and cap they were wearing, as well as the two snakes attached respectively to their upper body and back, would make it clear that the creature was none than Serpens Crash - or rather, his munchkin clone. The half-size height was the first obvious flaw of the imitation; the other being that the copy Eto attached to their back was all but entirely inert, with only the copy Alfie moving back and forth in front of the doppelganger.
The doppelganger was soon joined by a robotic creature with a bulky black body, thin grey arms with light orange gloves, and a dark orange face with grey dots for eyes. This creature had rolled forward from a farther distance and stopped just to the doppelganger's left. Another identical creature was approaching the scene as well, though from the opposite side of the junkyard, and that one stopped about two meters to Luke's left. It then generated a cube made up of cobbled up trash and laid it down in front of itself. There was a gap of one meter between the cube and the conductor Wave Warrior, and stepping any closer would cause it to come careening towards the offender.
"Sorry for the surprise!" The doppelganger cried out, in a voice that was way too high-pitched to properly imitate its original owner. On cue, the copy of Alfie reared itself back before it swung forth, elongating itself to its full length as it attempted to take a bite out of the original Serpens Crash. The attack was a fairly simple attempt to force Luke to step closer to the cube of junk, and thus cause it to come crashing into the conductor.
Unlike its twin, the garbage robot next to the copy did nothing but move its arms up and down harmlessly, as it clearly preferred to observe things before making any move of its own.
Although the Wave Warrior that had caused a mess with his arrival was the center of the viruses' attention, the other Wave Warrior in the junkyard wouldn't be left alone. Kihel would be able to hear a quickly approaching sound coming from the side of the pile of garbage she was on, indicating something was climbing it. Before long, the offending creature appeared on top, revealing itself to be a devilish monster made of orange flames, with a big head, circular orange eyes, thin arms, and sharp hands. The virus spat out a frothy ball of saliva onto the ground - actually, no, what it spat out was a detonator with a number on its face that would soon go down, and it would keep decreasing until it reached zero and exploded. After dropping the ticking time bomb near Kihel's feet, the creature laughed and waved at her briefly before it ducked down and began to climb down the garbage pile, in an attempt to stay clear of the incoming blast radius, should it come to that.
Junk-0 A Health: 10% Element: Summon Panel: Null Action: None
Junk-0 B Health: 10% Element: Summon Panel: Null Action: Junk Cube - Generates a High Health Summon 1 meter to Luke's left. If approached by an enemy, it will rocket towards the offender for Low Summon damage, and it Breaks.
}Junk Cube- The virus places a Junk Cube on the field, which has dimensions of 1 meter for length, width and height. Doom Count Health: 10% Element: Fire Panel: Null Action: Count Bomb - Generates a Low Health Immobile Summon near Kihel. Will detonate for Modest Fire damage if not destroyed by the end of her turn.
"Alright, maybe I did bump my head because I think I might be seeing things."
Luke turned left and right as the newcomers came strolling in, tipping his hat to the clone. Though it kept his attention well enough, he didn't miss the Junk-0 setting up beside him. The Mime virus readied its move and Luke couldn't keep a smile off his face as he prepared to counter the flattering attack. With the lowercase Alpha flying in toward him, Luke loosed a Chain Bubble shot angled at the ground to catch the fake snake in its bubbly blast to deter if not destroy it on approach.
Planting a foot forward to keep away from the Junk Cube and brace for his return fire, Luke's cute blue buster was replaced with a much more imposing Fire Bazooka as he took aim and fired a heavy molten round at the Mime, intending to pummel both it and its patient partner with a pyroclastic projectile. Behind him, the true Alfie snaked around and lashed out toward the nearby compacted trash cube in an effort to preemptively destroy it and grant Serpens Crash some wiggle room.
Kihel watched from above as the trio rose around Luke. Two of them she had somewhat understanding of, as she had a battle card based on their offensive options. The third would be the problem, as it was identical to her sudden comrade and she knew nothing about him. She took a single step, intending to assist with the Junk-0s, before a familiar voice chirped in her ear.
"Stay on the hill and provide support fire. He has their attention, you have the high ground over all of them, and you don't know what he's capable of."
Before she could respond, she heard a chuckle followed by beeping. Looking at the ground around her, she quickly discovered the freshly placed time bomb, followed by the culprit shortly in the distance. While the little devil was a problem, as letting it join the other three would quickly put Luke in a bad spot, the currently placed bomb was a bigger priority. Losing the high ground would be one thing, but the potential of trash falling into and around Luke could place him in a bad enough spot for the trio to afford to split up.
With her right hand, she reached over her left shoulder for a cyclinder that had just emerged from her wing armor. As she quickly pulled it out, it ignited in a beam of emerald green, a low humming emitting from it. Spinning it around, she stabbed it downward, aiming for the middle of the top of the bomb in an attempt to disarm it.
There was no time to wait and see if it was successful though. Unwilling to let the future annoyance escape, two miniature machine guns popped up out of her shoulder. With a whir, they began to fire upon the treating fireball. While she didn't expect to delete it, it would hopefully be powerless if she forced it to keep its distance. Which meant lots of pressure needed to be applied early.
Lowering her head, she reached back with her left hand and grabbed one of the two rifles resting on her back. Taking aim at the center of its back, she held it at arms length, pulling the trigger. A loud ba-shing was heard across the battlefield as she fired, letting loose a powerful beam off that heated up the garbage below it. If the party below wasn't aware of her before, they would be now.
OOC: Just a note to Torch: damage boosters apply to the first hit of an attack. Your Sniping v2 perk also increases the damage of your Artillery-type attacks (though I recognize that one could be clarified further) The spread of the bubbly shot was successful in striking the copy Alfie, who disintegrated from the damage sustained before it could come close enough to reach its target, and then reformed coiled around the wrist of the clone of Serpens Crash. Speaking of whom, the copy had just begun to process what had transpired before a large stone cube was placed in front of it, courtesy of its robotic partner, who had reacted to the appearance of the heavy artillery weapon the conductor had conjured and devised a countermeasure for it. The blast of magma that was fired soon after struck the cube square on, but the object still stood strong, and the two viruses behind it were safe and sound.
The robotic Wave Warrior's blade slash damaged the integrity of the bomb, causing it to explode harmlessly. The flame devil, who had been keeping his sights up, was dissapointed at the lack of a bigger explosion, but became alert when he realized Kihel was staring down at it, and hurriedly moved aside along the garbage pile. The machine gun fire had come faster that it had anticipated, though, and the first two rounds of the volley successfully embedded themselves against its left arm. The virus squealed loudly, as the first shot had been much more painful than it assumed it would be. With panic setting in, the creature frantically scrambled in a diagonal motion downwards along the hill of junk. At one point it nearly lost its grip with its left hand, but grabbed on more tightly with its right and yanked its whole body along, desperate to maintain balance and continue his descent at the same time. It was at that moment that the beam was fired above, and the virus' desperate movement just narrowly put it out of harm's way. The dangerous attack still led the creature to scream again, and it continued moving down the pile as fast as it could.
The true Alfie's snaking assault tore through the cube of junk as though it were nothing, which startled the robotic virus a bit, but it calmed down upon noticing that the snake had been aimed entirely at the object and not at itself. The bulky virus then did a quick overview of the scene before noticing that it was being almost entirely neglected, and then decided to place another of its creations on the field. This time it laid down a time bomb, similar in appearance to the one spat out by the fireball previously, but slightly sturdier and with a countdown that ticked a bit faster. The robot then moved back by a meter, not enough to stay clear of the blast radius, but enough to be able to observe his handiwork.
And speak of the devil, the flaming virus had reached the bottom of the trash hill it was on about a few seconds afterwards, clearly still panicked. Without much thought or deliberation, it spat out another time bomb and placed it near the foot of the garbage pile. This time around it didn't bother moving to safety, and instead kept its eyes up to prepare for any more assaults coming from above.
The Serpens Crash clone peered behind the stone cube, noticing the two bombs that had been placed. It surmised that it would be safe from their explosions if it just kept its distance. The thought of staying inert didn't really appeal to it, though, so it instead decided to occupy the attention of the conductor it was copying.
"Alright, maybe I did bump my head!!" The copy cried out with its shrill voice before it stepped out from behind his cover and dashed forth at the top of its speed at Luke. It then drew back its left fist when it got close enough, fake Alfie coiled around it and all, and sent it forwards in a punch aimed at the conductor's mid-section.
The robotic virus who had placed the cube of stone was more than happy to stay safe behind its cover, though it also moved back by about a meter, keeping the spread of the blue buster in mind. Junk-0 A Health: 10% Element: Summon Panel: Null Action: Stone Cube - Generates Immense Health Obstacle to intercept Fire Bazooka (Remaining Health: 10%)
Junk-0 B Health: 10% Element: Summon Panel: Null Action: Count Bomb - Generates a Modest Health Immobile Summon 1 meter behind Luke. Will detonate for Moderate Fire damage if not destroyed by the end of his turn.
}Weapon Copy- The virus copies one weapon of the enemy's. They cannot copy abilities, even if one is within the weapon. Damage dealt is the damage of the attack, up to a total of Moderate damage.
Doom Count Damage Taken: 6% (2 hits of Shoulder Machine Guns, first hit boosted by damage level perk + Sniping v2 perk) Health: 4% Element: Fire Panel: Null Action: Count Bomb - Generates a Low Health Immobile Summon at the bottom of hill Kihel is in. The alternating beeps of the bombs gave Luke a sense of urgency and some rhythm to move with as his lookalike came rushing in. As the copycat closed the distance, Luke felt Eto twist her weight around and he rotated his hips to follow through, allowing the Mime virus and its mostly inert imitation of Alfie to barely slip by him with a huge tail following up in retaliation. Eto's mass whipping around would threaten not only the diminutive doppelganger but her extended length would slam against the side of the stone, the virus hiding behind it, and most significantly the bomb Rain's assailant had left in their midst.
Fully turning after the maneuver, Luke shifted his balance to his left leg and used their tail as leverage to shoot his opposite foot out at the Mime with the intent of doubling up his attack on it with a solid kick. Successfully executing that, Luke set off into a dead run at the second Count Bomb and the Junk-0 behind it, lowering his shoulder to heave the ticking time bomb in the direction of its maker while closing the gap between him and the virus. Tapping into his Ability Wave amplified the force with which he'd shove the explosive device with the hope that it'd fly against and shatter into more garbage should it miss his target.
Under the assumption that he'd be safe from immediate retaliation given that only his clone so far had come in swinging, Luke turned from the uncertain results of his Shunt to ready his Fire Bazooka for the third time, aiming at the one virus he was certain wouldn't be looking his way. The Doom Count had moved out of line with its compatriots and with some luck the cowering Junk-0 was more intent on covering itself than the fiery freak fighting Rain. With a little more luck, the boom that emitted from Luke's heavy weapon was the only one going off in the next moment.

"Tch," was the only audible response that came from an annoyed Kihel. 'Managed to scare it off, but now it's just helping turn below into an elaborate puzzle.' While her fellow fighter seemed to be handling things for the moment, the Doom Count proceeding to not back down and instead put another bomb closer to him was making things dicey. 'He'll be blown to pieces and then compacted into one if this keeps up.'
She raised her rifle, intending to destroy the newly placed bomb, only to quickly lower it as she witnessed Luke already taking the steps to destroy it. 'Well then, time for some suppressing fire.' The glowing sword in her right hand vanished in a quick burst of emerald, it's purpose fulfilled for the time being.
Intent on not letting it have it's convenient position, the guns on her shoulders popped up once again as she turned to face the fireball. While she was unsure if they were still accurate at this range, she had to get it out of that spot. A whir was heard, followed by the distinct sound of bullets flying through the air as she harassed the virus once again. If she was lucky, it would be deleted, but there was no time to focus on that.
She gave the battlefield another once over. While the mimic was arguably the most aggressive of the three, the two Junk-0s were showing how capable they were at playing both sides of the coin. Bombs, junk cubes and stone cubes? All it was doing was creating a potential playground for the copycat. Seeing Luke splitting his attention, she decided to do the same. As far as she could tell, they were potentially still unaware of her, making a pincer attack potentially fatal.
With the rifle in her hand, she took aim at the first Junk-0 and fired, a loud ba-shing echoing across the battlefield once again as the beam roared towards the virus. Unable to watch the potential impact, her right arm glowed as she activated her first battlecard of the fight, Gatling. Taking aim at the second Junk-0, she let loose with the oversized weapon, raining bullets upon it as well. While no more bullets would follow for the time being, she kept the barrel spinning for the time being, a loud whir echoing across the field, hopefully acting as a distraction to the clone, while also enabling her to get a quick response off it needed.
1: Shoulder Machine Guns @ Doom Count: 5 hits of Pathetic Sniping, first hit is Pitiful due to perk 2: Buster Rifle @ Junk-0 A: Moderate Sniping (Low Base + damage level perk)

As the origin of its appearance spun away from it, the Serpens Crash clone caught sight of the tail that would be making its way back around towards him, and decided to fall on its face, laying flat on its stomach so that the lively real Eto would sail above itself. A few seconds before that came to pass, though, it spared a moment to bring its right finger to its mouth and let out a high-pitched whistle, intent on alerting the panicked virus of the bunch.
That being the fiery devil, of course, who immediately looked to the direction of the obnoxious sound. Noticing that the swinging snake that was about to hit a cube of stone would be coming its way, the fireball yelped and hastily climbed up the pile a bit, enough to stay safe from the assault.
That left the first of the robotic builders as the only one oblivious to the attack. Thus, the snake smacked against both the cube it built and the virus itself, then went on to destroy the bomb placed near the pile of the garbage and also hit the very pile, while narrowly missing the fire demon and the clone.
Speaking of whom, after having cleared the deadly attack, the doppelganger rolled to its right, creating some distance between itself and the real conductor before it rose to its feet, standing back up to its full and unimpressive height. Its instincts ended up saving it from the kick that was sent its way. The clone then took a step back and turned around, looking back and forth between both of the enemy Wave Warriors to keep track of their movements.
Having looked upwards on his hasty attempt to avoid the tail, the fireball noticed that the robotic Wave Warrior's shoulder popped out those dread machine guns again. With a loud scream, the orange virus scrambled to the side while moving along the pile, this time clearing the assault successfully. It sighed its relief as it completed a full circular movement around the pile and returned to its previous position, and while it kept its eyes up, it noticed that the shooter was no longer paying attention to it.
The second of the constructor robots noticed Luke's fast run towards its bomb and itself, and decided it wasn't about to try its luck again, moving to the left as fast as it could, barely avoiding the bomb that had been chucked its way as well as the rest of the conductor's charge. The explosive was pushed further away and scraped by a piece of trash that was sticking out from below, blowing up harmlessly afterwards.
While the smack against its side had startled the first bulky robot a bit, it was the scream of pure panic that the fireball let out that succeeded in drawing a meaningful reaction from it. The brown virus turned on its base to look at the pile and the Wave Warrior standing on top of it, and realized that it was about to be victim from an assault from above. So the robot moved in the direction of the the trash hill, as fast as it could muster, and just a second later, the beam that was fired hit its previous location.
"Because I think!!" It was at that moment that the fake conductor cried out, looking at the second bulky robot while it pointed up with its right hand at Kihel. "I might be seeing things!" It then dropped its raised hand and turned to the flame monster, this time directing its left pointer finger at Luke.
Both of the viruses got the message; the second constructor thrust itself into a forward movement, letting the hail of bullets smack against the garbage it had been standing on, though the first still nicked its side, causing it to spin a bit due to its pushing force. The fireball took a moment to briefly look back at Luke before it let go of its grip on the pile and dropped down, ducking as low as it could as the heavy-duty gun was fired. The blast of magma went over the head of its intended target and instead collided against the pile of garbage Kihel was standing on, heating up the structure and causing it to rock back and forth a bit, though it wouldn't be quite enough to bring it down yet.
While the fiery devil was clutching its head in panic, the first of the bulky robots had rolled by the pile at that point, carrying a bomb in one hand as it stopped to the right of the structure. It grasped the cowering virus with its other hand, and before the victim would understand what was happening, it was chucked upwards by its fellow virus, who then proceeded to slide back a bit as it laid down the detonator device by the trash hill.
The fireball projectile smacked against the top of the hill and grasped on tightly, then letargically pulled itself up so that it would come out near Kihel again. It was too disoriented to do much of anything intelligent, so it just barfed out a bomb by the robotic Wave Warrior's feet and laid down then and there, having all but given up at that point.
The second of the brown robots, after coming out of its unintended spin, realized its twin's intentions, and swiveled around on its base before making its way to the garbage pile, coming to a halt by its left. It then conjured a bomb of its own and laid it down, aligning it almost perfectly with the pile and the other bomb on its opposite side. The idea was to force the conductor to use one of his guns to dispose of the objects so that he would end up damaging the structure further and possibly compromise it entirely. Of course, the viruses would accept it if he just let them blow up and take out the structure with them, even if it came at the cost of their lives.
Whatever Luke decided to do, though, he would have another problem in his hands in the form of his miniature clone. Still hellbent on having a mano a mano, the fake Serpens Crash once again dashed at full throttle towards the original one, but this time around it decided to aim below the belt, throwing a right jab at its enemy's left knee when it came within range. Luke felt an odd and likely inappropriate twinge of pride at his pint-sized impostor looking out for its allies but another part of him was growing tired of its persistence. As the viruses' antics ensued, he lowered himself into a four point start and set off in a sprint at a slight angle to the Mime's approach. The virus came flying in but just before meeting him head on, Luke veered right and left the smaller Serpens with nothing to swing at as he charged past.
First, he summoned a Guardian by the Junk-0 that had initially bypassed him and left it standing menacingly near the virus and its Count Bomb at the base of Kihel's hill. Luke, however, continued on to rush at the further off Junk-0 and shoulder charged at the other bomb with the intent of breaking the device or the virus itself should it get in the way. At the same time, his Guardian exercised his will and sliced laterally with its blade, intending to get rid of the bomb beside it but also daring any virus to intervene.
The ticking bombs in his reach were likely dealt with again but constantly playing defense to clear them out was occupying his opportunities to strike back. Fortunately, the viruses were now gathered close in more or less perfect placement for his impromptu partner to make a move from on high while he was stuck in the thick of them with a wannabe bearing down on him. That was probably fine.
"Hey, forget about me! Do what you can to take them out!" he called out at her, knowing the Mime would be taking his words a moment later.

Kihel watched as the virus that had just fled from her was hurled back up to her, a tired sigh escaping as she looked down on the virus. Watching the virus spit out another bomb, she didn't even pause before moving to place the bomb between her and the virus. The guns on her shoulders popping up to fire upon it as soon as she was in position potentially hitting the virus behind it too. As soon as the volley fired, hopefully destroying the bomb at the mimimum, she dropped her rifle, which shattered into fragments before vanishing, reappearing on her back once again.
She dashed towards the now dormant fireball, reaching behind with her now free left hand. Kihel didn't care if it was riddled in bullet holes at this point, she wanted to confirm the kill. In one smooth motion she drew the handle, igniting the emerald beam once again, and slashed at the virus. Should she succeed, it would be cut diagonally, a burning line present in the junk below where it currently lay regardless. As she finished her attempt at being the grim reaper and was shifting back to her previous position, she heard a voice from below.
"Hey, forget about me! Do what you can to take them out!"
She rolled her eyes at Luke trying to play hero from her perspective, granted he wouldn't be able to see it. "I am doing what I can, and getting them distracted from you is part of it!" They would be placing more Junk Cubes if she hadn't intervened most likely, trapping him in a shifting labyrinth. While shaking her head to herself, Kihel raised the still whirring gatling gun, taking aim and firing at the Junk-0 at the left side of the pile. While she hoped for a deletion with this barrage, if it lived and kept focused on her, then it would be good for Luke.
'I can deal with the Junk-0s, but he needs to deal with his clone.' Given that it had been giving orders earlier, it was clearly the leader. The Junk-0s were slowly losing ground, but could make a comeback if it changed gears. Plus she didn't know if it could mimic her, which would be a problem for both of them if it did. Kihel intended to stick around and fight more viruses too, and she didn't intend to expend any more cards if she could help it, despite what Luke would prefer. However, that mini-me could easily force her to if lady luck didn't smile on her.

The panic-induced adrenaline had entirely left the fiery devil by that point, so Kihel's volley of shots succeeded in cracking the bomb and digging into the virus. Its body had already been about to break apart, but the diagonal slash that followed afterwards scattered its pieces away even faster, slaying the creature beyond any shadow of a doubt.
The appearance of a new creature startled the second constructor robot, who could do nothing but look on as the Murian soldier sliced through the bomb it had placed and destroyed the object. However, the bulky virus also noticed something else; the conductor clone was heading its way, and pointed a single finger up. Without wasting a moment to check the threat from above, the brown robot slid back and darted to the left, making a moving target of itself. Its attempt to stay live succeeded, as the hail of bullets that eventually came down missed and hit just behind it.
Though its sense of self-presence was skewed at that point, the first of the robotic builders wasn't about to intercept a frontal charge, as it wanted to go out the right way, so it just watched as the conductor rammed through the bomb it had laid down, causing the object to burst apart harmlessly into tiny fragments. While the enemy on the ground was busy talking with the enemy atop the hill, the brown virus moved back a bit and conjured another ticking time bomb, laying it down on the gap between them, still within range to catch the trash mountain with its explosion if it came to that. The constructor then swiveled around and moved about a meter to its right, then turned to keep the two Wave Warriors in its sights.
The midget copy had decided to target the original conductor's new companion after feeling miffed at being ignored again. "Hey!!" It called out to announce its arrival to the Murian soldier, about the same time the first constructor robot laid down its bomb on the other side of the hill. The munchkin Serpens Crash then skid to a halt next to the Guardian's side and threw a straightforward punch at the newest enemy.
After the brief rain of bullets ceased, the second robotic builder turned around on its base and headed to the hill of trash again, this time stopping at the back of the foundation. It then turned around so that its back would be facing the Guardian if it ended up turning around the pile. With its position set, the bulky virus generated yet another time bomb, and laid it down in front of itself. The brown robot wanted to go down with a bang just like its twin, which is why it had placed its own body to serve as an obstacle for the Murian soldier to prevent that angle of attack.
