Wood Ninja The Wood Ninja deftly moved back from the action as the Remnant suddenly collected a massive amount of Noise. It watched, warily, as the Remnant charged at it, skating on the winds that it created to pull itself into its own demise, it would seem. As the Noise clustered and unleashed, what exactly happened in the maelstrom was difficult to fully make out. An intense spike of Noise unlike anything the two warriors had ever felt before was immediately followed by a conflagration as something exploded. The entire Noise Wave was rocked by the eruption of power, Remnant's use of the Noise destabilizing many of the pathways and reorganizing the Wave all around them. Once the massive array of explosions, twisting Noise, and cyclones of black and red energy finally died down, the Wood Ninja was nowhere to be seen. Hauntingly enough, neither was the OOPArt it carried. BOSS ENCOUNTER Name: Wood Ninja Type: Boss Wave Being Objective - Victory: Defeat Wood Ninja within 10 Turns - Obtained! As the scene died down, Remnant returned to Cherish's side, looking a bit worse for wear as his body seemed to have been influenced by the storm of Noise, despite it usually demonstrating incorporeal behaviors.
" You alright? "
" Fine. "
His stoicism was never lost, even if he did seem hellbent on defeating his enemy just a moment ago.
" I don't think we were fully prepared for that. We got lucky. "
All it would have taken was another barrage of the shurikens and she would have been done in. It made sense why he'd go for the desperation attack in attempt to end it quickly.
" It was just a doppelganger. We'd never lose to something so pathetic. "
" ... "
Cherish seemed headstrong as ever -- or just arrogant, it was difficult to tell at times. But she did have to admit that, if she ever wanted to stack up to "the Commander", she'd still have a lot of improvements to make if this encounter was anything to go by. What mattered more right now, though, was the matter at hand.
She turned to Mehk now that the scene had calmed down, getting his more knowledgeable opinion on the matter since she was still relatively new to these terms and situations.
" Does this mean that the Noise should calm down now? "

Dynamo King The massive noise spike was impossible not to notice, to say nothing of the backlash that was created by the specter's attack. What followed, though, with the explosion and the energy that was created, Dynamo was certain he recognized that power. He considered it, though, and decided such a thing were impossible - how would a Noise remnant remember such a thing, of something of that caliber, anyhow? He wasn't entirely sure what they would've done in the face of another storm of shurikens. They had gotten lucky with the efforts that were produced, and something told him that there was plenty more that the specter was holding back. He didn't like that realization, that all of his parameters of the thing's true potential told him that what it was displaying was only a fraction of its full power. Nonetheless, it was gone now, and Cherish and her constant companion seemed to be recollecting, as well. He had nothing more to add to the specter's assertion; he agreed with it entirely. ". . . Honestly, with the OOPArt gone, the Noise Wave should begin to stabilize. The storm your remnant created should have disrupted the Noise Card in the space, too - if not destroyed it entirely," he went on, glancing around as the edges of the Noise Wave were already beginning to close back in. "We'll need to recuperate back at WAXA HQ to give the debriefing back to Dr. Temple, but then we need to select one of the other locations and get there, fast."[Dynamo -> Next Locale]

" Right. I suppose Whazzap is next up, then. "
The bias in her choice was obvious -- of course the Netopian nationalist would choose it first over another destination.
Where they actually ended up going was technically up to Mehk now as she followed his lead out of this place, unable to navigate it on her own, so whether they took to HQ, Netopia, or Dream Islands was still his call to make even after her voice on the matter was spoken.
( Cherish → Following Dynamo)
