There were no quips from Shine this time as she seemed to still be under possession -- and there were no restraints either as her body viciously leapt forward through the challenging attacks, disregarding its own well-being while her sword arm ruthlessly hacked away at Phantom Black any time he was in reach. Perhaps by mere coincidence, her figment was unscathed by both her own assault and Phantom's. It may even have been beneficial that she was absent of her own consciousness right now against a perception-altering opponent, as it would be difficult to deceive or trick somebody that wasn't thinking or acting of their own accord, but whether or not that would be detrimental to the others fighting with her remained to be seen as well.

The Phantom Black was an infamous criminal, still to this day. He was still well known the world round for his antics, constantly trying to harrie the Satella Police, in constant search for power, Murian artifacts, and any chance he can get to take a stab at the boy wonder himself. One of the few criminals to cow away before impossible odds, Phantom Black was known for testing his luck time and again, and had seen relative success in building a network of underground connections to become one of the highest ranking EMCs currently documented.
He wasn't sure whether he should be honored to have the opportunity to meet him or utterly peeved, as regardless of the man's pedigree, he was still quite insufferable.
Flames surged to remove the illusions from his mind, and then Cherufe Magma held himself strong against the coming assault. The Phantom's attacks not being enough to put him down, he slotted in a few careful cards and made his efforts to prepare for what was to come.

*The Phantom Black? If he was connected to this then things were going to get messy for them and fast. It wasn't like he would just show up for a fight he thought he was going to lose. Could they serve to surprise him? That was the tough part. They could go for the other option of all this commotion serving to draw the attention of others that weren't exactly aligned with the criminal, so even if he was aware of how to better work around the lucky guess from earlier, it was still one of the better options with regard to dealing with the constant influx of attacks.*

As Shine got too close to the Phantom Black, the dark power that surged around him seemed to be a shield in and of itself. First, it swelled to prevent her from getting too close, and, then, as her sword came to strike him, it instead faded straight through him. He became nothing, and disappeared from view.
When he reemerged, the black terror he carried with him surged as a dark wind across the battlefield. His cloak extended out to either side of him, he exposed his suit, a black hand reaching forward from his chest to try and rip Cherufee Magma's very human soul from his EM Wave Form. A black hole from some desolate place had opened up and out of it reached similar black claws, as it tried to drag them all away into it, as he once again released his hat to spin about the battlefield.
Smoke billowed from his eyes as he considered Shine and Infernal Trailblazer, trying to tear them both apart with his look.

Not missing a beat, Shine's body pounced back toward the Phantom when he reappeared, a relentlessness uncanny for her. She'd weave around the hats and claws during her approach while the gaze at the end didn't do anything to stop her advancing. There clearly wasn't any sophistication in her plan as she simply lashed out with the sword just as she had done before, seemingly unconcerned whether or not he would mitigate her attacks once again. This state likely wouldn't last much longer, though, as the Noise infecting her was beginning to diminish now, and while she was able to keep up fairly well while under its effects, the same certainly couldn't be said of her while she was in her regular state of mind, so it was only a matter of time before things took an even worse turn for the situation.

The terrible play-write continued to impose his dark and sinister plot onto them, and as they failed to live up to whatever wild fantasy he was on about this time, he lashed out at them, despite never telling anyone what his grand expectations were.
This was why he hated working with other criminals. They were all special sorts of crazy, and their ring leader was the worst of the bunch.
Surging his defenses against the constant assault, he managed to once again burn the anger off into a constant flow of magma, rebuilding just as fast as the Phantom tore him apart. Proving strong enough, he then used what he had put together, and where Trailblazer went on the defensive, he went on the offensive and unleashed a thunderous debut from the skies, a constant flare of electricity that seemed to come down without ceasing. He followed it up with an array of lava that was just as hot as the thunder was constant.

Phantom Black once again phases through the assault made against him without worry, seemingly unbothered. When he returns, the battlefield is littered with tiny black holes that reach out and try to grab each of them, accompanied by a sinister, unceasing wind that tries to rip them all apart.
As he floats, his cloak billowing, his smile widens, another power palpable on the wind. "Oh, yes, yes, yes! Finally, according to script! I knew if the right stage pieces were set up, the main character would understand! A tragedy we do plan today, boys, places, everyone, places!"

Shine's expression was beginning to appear in distress, as if painfully pushing the body to its limit as she began batting away the claw swipes with her sword. She seemed to have pulled the attention off of Trailblazer during that exchange, but the unceasing wind was something he'd have to deal with on his own. Or so the case would have been if not for the coincidental timing of her possessed state running out its clock at just the right moment -- the Noise that had been infecting her burst out at once, diverting the winds away from herself and Trailblazer by virtue of their proximity to each other. While Cherufe's positioning wouldn't enable him to receive that same boon, he seemed to be fine regardless.

Back in her own mind, but with an aching body and vicious migraine, Shine would remain standing there holding her head and catching her breathe, clearly having no more juice in the tank to retaliate this time.

The Phantom Black's defining moment seemed to be upon them, and all at once, it was too much for Cherufee Magma to contend with. All the same, his last defensive measure was still in place, the Guardian of the temple left crushed by the tactician. Perhaps it was too their benefit that whoever the Phantom Black had been looking for had finally arrived - or it was to all of their detriment, his included.
*Whoever the main character was to this script wasn't exactly what he would call a good main character to show up late to the scene of their own moment. Then again, that wouldn't happen with a good script either. He still couldn't rag about it too much, as they were on the backfoot rather heavily and didn't quite have much of an answer, as Shine had to exert more just to keep him from being taken down by the showing he performed just now.*
The first to appear from below was a flash of blue, as a regal figure alighted upon the wave road. Bathed in light, the wondrous Queen Virgo, one of the registered Wave Warriors among the school staff at Echo Ridge, appeared, and a moment behind her, did appear Libra Scales, the principal. With both of these figures present, Phantom Black seemed finally to snicker and sneer; he had gotten attention, it would seem, but he still didn't have the audience he wanted.
"Oh, no, no! How boring; neither of you got any parts here, so what are you doing, messing with my script? Two failed villains, turned around and made good, and for what? Second-rate parts in a third-rate play? Its embarrassing!
". . . It is a step in the right direction, though."
He unfurled his cape, and behind him, a large wave hole suddenly opened up. Stepping through the portal, the large and imposing Yeti Blizzard emerged, a terror all his own. The blizzard he was known for seemed to be subdued as of now, the billionaire villain instead having some other motive to his arrival.
"Alright, cast. Now's the time to make some choices - Stay on as extras on the good side of the play, or take a step behind the curtain, and join the antagonists, the real plot drivers. We take care of our own, but I wanted to make sure you could get the part."
Queen Virgo held out her scepter, the two FMians staring down the two UMAs. "That is no choice," Libra Scales declared, tilting from side to side the elemental scales that he supported. "You've asked them to consider loneliness or rejection. To officially categorize with the EMC is to lose all opportunity to be anything but irredeemable or hopeless. No matter how great their crimes, they can still choose opportunities and occasions."
"Must all of you speak in code? At least the phantom has a delusion to explain his away; you're just an alien that hates speaking in anything but riddles and choices. Hope to it, littl'ins, criminals with a record and no connections to protect you, or criminals with a record and an organization to get behind you. Its a simple choice, really. You want in, get into the wave hole. You want out, then get out. The grown ups need to do some talking."
Shine was still holding her head as the scene unfolded, the migraine gradually subsiding as the folks went on calling her a criminal.
" H-Hey...! "
Her exhausted voice was conveying as much emotion as it could, the pep progressively tuning back in as she continued.
" Y-... you think I'm a real spy?! "
Guilty or not, the endearing chirp in her voice and the beam in her smile couldn't hide the pride she felt from that accusation. That was the nicest thing anyone had ever said about her!

The others probably assumed that Mus was correcting her just then in its unintelligible language, but no, it was basking in this moment and egging her on even further. This was the kind of cruel humor that it lived for, keeping her oblivious to her reality.
" You're right, Mus! I am a real spy! "
* squeak! *
" The best thief there is! "
* s-...squeak? *
" Master of espionage and infiltration! "
* ... *
" And a deadly assassin! "
* SQUEAKSQUEAKSQUEAKSQUEAKSQUEAK! *

It wasn't hard to guess what Mus was saying that time, doing whatever it could to make the girl bite her tongue before ranting off her criminal history to the "good guys". It also probably spared her some embarrassment in front of the "bad guys" at how petty those crimes were if she had gone into detail. "Stealer of Arbitrary Information" was putting it incredibly optimistically.
At any rate, all that was left was for her to respond to Yeti Blizzard and Phantom Black's offer, and while Mus was able to express the levity of the situation to her, she could at least be commended for keeping consistent with her terms in her reply.
