It didn't linger around her smoke cloud for long enough this time, so Shine wouldn't be able to lash out quite as aggressively as before. That seemed to be for the better, now that she'd seen its response. Despite that though, she made time for one quick strike while the opening presented itself.
She was quite mobile in her Wave Form, and she'd put that to it's fullest as she teleported out of the way of the incoming attacks, using the advantageous repositioning to deliver her sword strike, and then would zip back into the smoke before there was time for much else. She'd play the game of cat and mouse for as long as she could -- there wasn't much else she was good at, so she knew to just stick with what worked best for her.

Molten Cherufe saw the pattern here, and didn't have much else to do other than accept that it would continue to accept a beating. He hardened his outer shell and heated up his flames in order to build his resilience up as the waves came cascading forward, and then he waited, boiling up and preparing an intense burst of heat from within. Releasing a wave of molten slag, he quickly shapes and molds the rock into the shape he needs, making a hyper-dense spear which he slugs with all of his force and strength at the copy, wondering if this would make it reconsider them.
It seemed at long last the beast was tired of being pummelled. It knew its own strength, and wouldn't allow itself to be bested or contended with by such baser prey. As Shine appeared in front of it, it raised a single clawed hand and a wall of EM energy surged forward, and as her sword smashed against it, it refracted and released that force back onto her.
The spear from Cherufe was met with a similar retort, but the reverberation of force seemed amplified from what Cherufe himself were capable of producing. It was quite done playing around, annoyed with them for contesting it for so long. It waited in patience, holding its claws together as the Noise within it responded to the Noise around it, vastly amplifying it and accessing it to produce results far and beyond what the typical Wizard would be capable of. All at once, its form radiated with electrical energy as sparks began to fly, its armor adapting a yellow shade. While it waited, it stored up this incredible power within itself.

Shine recoiled back from the EM Energy like a toddler that had faceplanted into a wall, but she regained her balance quickly enough to resume her charted course of actions.
Sticking to the same plan as before, she'd take advantage of the beasts lack of pressure to make some of her own -- swinging her sword around a little less haphazardly before retreating to the safety of her smoke screen.

It was finally tired of them, and looking to close this out, then? It raised a barrier and the force that Cherufe Magma unleashed on it was returned back to him much greater, releasing a blast that sent him rocketing backwards. The pain was incredible, and he was reminded quickly why this individual was heralded as the most advanced and most powerful of all battle wizards.
Cherufe Magma waited patiently, as he always did, watching the beast prepare and transform in its efforts to eliminate them both. Shine entered into a Noise form, resonating with the Noise around her. Cherufe Magma could've done the same, but relented for the time being - the beast seemed capable of raising the Noise threshold by incredible margins, and if it was content to do so, then he would wait for it to be pleased with the Noise before he himself made use of it.
Taking this moment to unleash just as Shine was, but keeping close check of his battle cards to avoid unnecessarily empowering the beast, he released another cloud of soot, ash, and volcanic fury from his open vents at the copy.
Their assault was enough to disrupt the beast's pull for energy. It seemed frustrated and confused, as if reaching out for power that it knew should exist but not finding it, as it pulled a hand up and swiped at the air in frustration. With nothing to show for its efforts, it opened its maw and, after blipping around a bit, in point-blank with Shine, unleashed a stream of plasma directly from its mouth that, if it made contact, would explode, ripping through the space with lethal intent.

Things seemed to go be going their way now, and the beast was quite unhappy about that. Shine's only plan was to keep up with what was already working: bouncing around to evade the plasma stream while flailing her weapon around carefully enough not to clash with the shadow's preventive measures.

The destructive blasts were definitely something, but Cherufe knew he could take it. Holding up both stony arms, he took the blasts with all that he could manage, and then erupted once more to try one last time to throw the beast off of them. The electrical impulses were difficult to handle, and he knew he was on his last bursts of energy. Contending with this monster was by no means easy, and yet, here they were, having survived this long against it.
What was in store for them, next, now that Cherufe Magma knew he was out of options? What more could just a copy of such a legend do?

What happened as the last of their efforts came forward was a little difficult to track. It moved with incredible alacrity around Cherufe's final explosion, and then even around Shine's myriad of slashes, unphased entirely. The monster considered both of them, its emotionless gaze leering down at them. All at once, an incredible pressure filled the air as it lifted a clawed hand, energy collecting into its palm as lightning crackled around its form. The noise cluster was released into the air, and with it, an unending storm of lightning crackled from every angle. Bolts of electricity rained down and around from every direction without ceasing, until the two warriors were down on the ground with no hope of getting back up.
One claw swipe created a tear in the air behind it; a Noise Wave pathway, connecting this Noise Wave somewhere else. It glared one more time, its emotionless stare, at the both of them, before it parted, leaving them behind in the Noise Wave.
They were all alone, now, but it seemed almost certain that they were being watched. This Noise Wave didn't collapse, as whatever created it was still present, but at least it didn't seem like the Noise was getting any worse.

Shine was able to maneuver around the first strike, but didn't account for those that would rebound off of Cherufee or her smoke cloud, leaving her caught in the storm and buried by the recurring bolts of lightning. Her Wave Form was barely intact, but they were fortunate that the beast chose to count them out before finishing them off. She'd be stuck lying there for quite sometime to recover as unmerging from her EM Partner likely wasn't an option this deep in the Noise Wave.
" . . . ! Catastrophe erupted out of nowhere, the power and the dominance of the world's most powerful battle wizard on full display as its overwhelming force crashed over them one after another. Electrical impulses ricocheted off of Cherufe Magma and rained down on Shine, as well, causing all hopes of surviving as that incredible energy was unleashed.
His body a crumbled mass of stone and oozing magma, Cherufe had finally awoken, the sheer pain of what they had endured enough to bring it from slumber and then promptly begin berating Aaron for the situation they found themselves in. Reaching out a draconic claw from the crumbling vestige of its shell, Cherufe Magma barely managed enough strength to pull itself off the ground, stumbling and staggering as it rose. To think that just a copy . . . what was the true monster like? He couldn't even fathom.
". . . Hey, Shine, you okay?" the monstrous creature steamed and bellowed as smoke plumed off of it. Its discarded volcanic shell on the ground melting beneath it, it had risen from its shell as the full volcanic dragon that rested underneath, refusing weakness in favor of its own grandiosity. It spread its wings, shaking itself free from the aching joins of being cramped inside its outer shell for so long.
The powerful voice was enough to gradually wake back up, and the monstrous figure looking down at her was enough to get her to jump to her feet immediately.
" Ah! "
She recognized it enough to still be Cherufee, but the change of appearance caught her by surprise, to say the least.
After a quick look around, she realized the real monster was gone now, so she could lower her guard a bit in light of the danger being behind them.
" Looks like you scared it off! That'll show it to cross us! "
Molten Cherufee narrowed its gaze at Shine as she drew her conclusion, relenting by releasing a plume of smog from its nostrils. He shook his head, careening his long neck back and forth. ". . . No. It just was done with us and didn't see any point in deleting us," he explained, glancing back around the Noise Wave. It didn't seem like it was going to collapse, but it at least wasn't going to get any bigger for the time being. "Something like that coming along . . . just what has the GSP gotten us into, this time?" he muttered, glancing through the Noise Wave. There was much to be learned here, if only he had the specs necessary to exist in this Noise Wave for too much longer.
"We should try our best to leave. Maybe regroup and see what becomes of the situation outside. Surely the Satella Police will be making a statement if this is a regular occurrence; or maybe they'll be showing up to investigate. Either way, we don't want to be here when they arrive."
